Introducing Louie, The Villa Cafe Ngaio

Louie, the talented barista from The Villa Cafe Ngaio, said the issues she is concerned about for the upcoming election are:

1. Billionaires - there are too many of them

2. Housing - not being able to buy a house

3. The job market - someone at the cafe has a friend who applied for a job at the local dairy and there were 200 applications.

4. Climate change

We need to listen to our young people. They are our future. Generational unfairness is a real issue. More and more young people wont ever be able to afford to buy a house. It will become even more pronounced if our Council doesn’t control the debt spiral and let the rates increase at the current speed. Increased rates = higher rent = less money to pay for the essentials = less discretionary spending to support our local businesses.

Our Council needs to stop its TAX AND SPEND habit and STOP THE DEBT SPIRAL.
